PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are looking for three people who stole an ATM from a mini market in Strawberry Mansion Tuesday morning.
Around 5 a.m., the men backed a U-Haul truck up to the front door of the store, located at 29th and Cumberland streets. Police said they attached a chain to the truck, wrapped the other end around an ATM and ripped it out of the store.
Two of the men then loaded it onto the truck, and the suspects fled.
Police found the abandoned U-Haul about a mile away, at 24th Street and Montgomery Avenue. They also found the ATM nearby, which had been emptied out.
