PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Health care is not unlike many other industries. It is rapidly incorporating artificial intelligence into its day-to-day workflows.

AI can dramatically impact people's health and care, and the learning curve to employ artificial intelligence can be steep. That's why a thought leader from Duke is suggesting a national registry of artificial intelligence.


The goal is to have health systems work together and hopefully avoid unnecessary mistakes or inappropriate uses of AI. One of the barriers is that many health care systems are in direct competition, and there needs to be a recognition that sharing is better for the common good.
