PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the cause of a fire that killed a grandmother and her infant granddaughter.
It happened just before 4 a.m. in Hamilton, Mercer County, along Woodlawn Avenue. The fire caused the roof of the two-and-a-half-story duplex to partially collapse.
The woman was in her 40s and the baby was 9 months old.
Three others were taken to the hospital.
Officials say they are still investigating the cause of the fire as well as the circumstances surrounding the two deaths.
