PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The victim in Monday's shooting in the parking lot of the Christiana Mall has died. Delaware State Police have since arrested and charged a woman in connection with the shooting.
Just after 4 p.m. in Newark, police responded to a report of a car that crashed into a metal guardrail near Target. Once at the scene, police found a 27-year old woman in the driver's seat of the car with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Investigators determined another person was in the car during the crash. They found the passenger, 24-year-old Shaidiah McNeair of Philadelphia, and charged her with manslaughter and possession of a firearm.
She is being held on $250,000 bail.
