Woman charged with stealing $10K worth of luxury sunglasses from Marlton store, police say

Investigators are still working to identify another suspect

SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Delaware woman was arrested and charged with stealing nearly two dozen pairs of luxury sunglasses from a store in Marlton, New Jersey, earlier this week.

According to Evesham Township police, 29-year-old Allesha Taylor-Jones and another woman went to the Sunglass Hut at the Promenade on Tuesday, wearing hats and facial coverings, and stole 18 to 20 pairs of sunglasses, valued at more than $10,000 total.

When a store employee went to call police, officials said one of the women sprayed her in the face with bear spray, and then they ran off.

Taylor-Jones was arrested by Delaware State Police. She faces numerous charges, including first-degree robbery and third-degree aggravated assault.
