PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police say a woman shot and killed her husband in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday.
Officials were called to a home on Cottman Avenue near Jackson Street in Holmesburg around 12:30 a.m.
Once inside the home, officers found a 38-year-old man dead, with the woman still there.
She told police her husband returned to the home after leaving a week earlier, forced his way inside and threatened her, prompting her to grab her gun and shoot him in the shoulder.
The woman is in custody. An investigation is underway.
