PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a woman in the city's Lawncrest neighborhood, and they are asking for the public's help in the case.
It happened at Crescentville Road and Walnut Park Drive just before 7 p.m. Friday night.
According to authorities, Angela Kee, 64, was crossing the street when she was struck by a silver sedan, possibly a Chrysler. She was taken to Einstein Hospital where she died a short time later.
Police say the driver did not stop and took off north on Crescentville. Authorities believe the vehicle likely has a lot of damage.
Detectives are trying to pull surveillance video, but they are hoping people who may have been in that area at the time will call them with any information.
