PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman fired a shot through her steel apartment door in North Philadelphia and killed a woman who was in the hall, police said.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex near 15th Street and Girard Avenue.
Police were called for a report of a break-in. When officers arrived, they heard a gunshot and found the wounded woman in the hallway.
There was a bullet hole in the door next to where they found her.
“The door is a steel door. There’s no windows. So when you’re shooting through that door, you’re shooting blindly. There’s not even a peephole,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Police are questioning a woman who lives in that apartment. They believe she is the shooter. They said she is cooperating.
