PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Someone gunned down a woman in North Philadelphia late Thursday night, and police are trying to figure out if she was targeted.
Police found the 37-year-old woman bleeding on the sidewalk around 11 p.m. at 25th and Masters streets. She later died at the hospital.
There were at least 20 spent shell casings on the street corner. Investigators still don’t know if the woman was the intended target.
“Fortunately, there are police real-time crime cameras that did record two light-colored vehicles, both sedans, fleeing from this location,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
He said they are also checking Philadelphia Housing Authority cameras and private business cameras for additional angles.
