Woman struck and killed by train along Melrose Park Station tracks

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman is dead after she was struck by a SEPTA train in Montgomery County Saturday evening.

According to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, the woman was hit on the tracks of the Melrose Park Station just before 3:30 p.m.

SEPTA suspended service on the Doylestown, Warminster, and West Trenton lines as officials investigated. However, the three rail lines have since resumed.

The identity of the woman killed has not yet been released.
