PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police arrested a man in Montgomery County for trying to steal more than $1,000 worth of Red Bull.
Cheltenham Township police were called to a Wyncote Target on Monday for a report of a retail theft.
When they arrived, they saw Zakee Laroda allegedly pilfering more than $1,500 worth of the energy drink.
Laroda tried to run away, and police said he resisted arrest when they caught up. According to officials, the cops had to taser the suspect as they took him into custody.
Laroda is charged with felony retail theft, receiving stolen property, and resisting arrest.
Police say he has previous retail theft cases on his record, as well as assault and drug charges.
