If you suddenly get a census worker knocking on your door, don’t be surprised. The US Census Bureau is resuming its field operations, starting in counties with the lowest response rate.
Michael Cook with the Census Bureau says the once-a-decade count is picking back up again, and you should respond as early as you can.
"We have a response rate map where you can see all of the responses across the state" says Cook. And those are the areas they will be focusing on.
Cook says official field workers are equipped with face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.
Census workers have also completed COVID-19 training to ensure they’re staying healthy and safe while working.
