NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Just days after the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of Alec Baldwin’s movie “Rust,” Donald Trump Jr. has started selling shirts mocking the incident.
The ex-president’s son is selling T-shirts, long sleeve shirts and hoodies that read, “GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE ALEC BALDWIN KILLS PEOPLE.” They go for $28 to $43.
Court records showed that an assistant director unwittingly handed Baldwin a loaded weapon and told him it was safe to use in the moments before the actor fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
Trump Jr. has posted several times about the incident since it happened late last week, including posting an Instagram meme that said “Big Karma” under a picture of Baldwin. Another said, “Let’s all watch Alec Baldwin blame the gun.”
Baldwin had earned the scorn of the Trump family for playing the former POTUS on “Saturday Night Live," but the actor's criticisms have continued outside of 30 Rockefeller Plaza as well.
Trump Jr. continued to deride Baldwin on his Instagram stories, reposting an online personality's tweet saying, "Tragedy aside: I just don't understand what an anti-gun actor was doing using a firearm in a movie. ... If you'll do whatever when there's a paycheck attached, then you're pretty much a hooker." Trump Jr. added "true story!" to the image.

The gun was one of three that the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, had set on a cart outside the wooden structure where a scene was being acted, according to the records.
Assistant director Dave Halls grabbed the gun from the cart and brought it inside to Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds, a detective wrote in the search warrant application.
Cameraman Reid Russell told a detective that Baldwin was rehearsing a scene Thursday in which he was set to draw his gun while sitting in a church pew and point it at the camera. Russell said he was unsure whether the weapon was checked before it was handed to Baldwin.
