The two teachers killed in the elementary school shooting massacre in Uvalde have been identified as Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia.
According to reports, Eva Mireles, age 44, had been teaching for 17 years, was married to a police officer and had one daughter. Mireles was a bilingual special education teacher and taught fourth-grade children at Robb Elementary School.
“She was adventurous. I would definitely say those wonderful things about her. She is definitely going to be very missed,” relative Amber Ybarra of San Antonio told the Associated Press.
Irma Garcia had spent 23 years teaching, she was married and had 4 children. Upon hearing of her death, her nephew tweeted "she sacrificed herself protecting the kids in her classroom" and "died a hero".
The identities of 18 of the 19 child victims have been confirmed so far by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram/Sky News, they are:

Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Christopher Olivarez announced Wednesday morning that all the dead were in the same fourth-grade classroom, where the shooter barricaded himself and opened fire on the children and teachers.
Robb Elementary has about 600 pupils, with most between the ages of 7 and 10.
The Uvalde school district has canceled classes for the rest of the year. Counselors from neighboring cities have arrived there to help students, parents and staff deal with the latest mass shooting.
Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, which is located across the street from Robb Elementary School, said in a Facebook post on Tuesday evening that it would be assisting families of the shooting victims with no cost for funerals, according to the AP.
The four patients from the shooting that arrived at University Health San Antonio are reported to be in improved condition, Wednesday morning. Those include the shooter's 66-year-old grandmother who went from critical to serious condition. A 10-year-old who went from critical to serious condition, a 9-year-old who went from fair to good condition and a 10-year-old who has remained in good condition since yesterday.
University Health shared the update on Facebook and says all the children have families with them at this time.
