On Tuesday, Jan. 18, the Recording Academy announced that the 64th annual Grammy Awards ceremony has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 3, 2022. The announcement comes after a statement from the Academy about the award show’s postponement from its initial Jan. 31, 2022, date.

The prestigious music award show is still set to be hosted once again by Trevor Noah. However, the show will no longer take place at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as the Staples Center). The ceremony will now be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This is the first time the show will be held in Nevada.
Los Angeles has been the host city for 39 Grammy telecasts. The show has also been held in New York City. The move to Las Vegas will mark the first time the show has been held anywhere else besides those two cities since 1973.
The 64th annual broadcast was first postponed due to growing concerns about the current COVID-19 omicron variant surge. Artists and executives voiced their reluctance to appear at the event, which ultimately led the Academy to once again change the date of the annual ceremony.
The 64th Annual Grammys will air on April 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Find the full list of nominees online.
