Some drivers can slide right into the narrowest of spots. Others hold up traffic for what seems like hours, reversing, misjudging the angle, pulling forward, backing up again, spinning the wheel — wash, rinse, repeat.
If you’re in the former category, it’s time to prove your skills in the PPPA Championship. That is the Philadelphia Parallel Parking Association.
There are three categories: one shot, closest to the curb; tight squeeze in the fewest moves; and fastest time under duress.
Drivers are judged on competency, speed and even flair.
The winner will be named Best Parallel Parker in Philadelphia 2026.
