A bat found in the attic of a Haddonfield home last Saturday has tested positive for rabies.
Camden County officials say the resident safely contained the animal. Animal control removed the bat from the property and arranged for rabies testing at a state facility.
The Camden County Health Department received word on Friday of the positive results.
Officials say no humans were exposed, but three cats were.
The cats received rabies vaccine boosters and are under confinement for 45 days.
