Philly's celebrating its role as a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a special lighting display on the iconic Boathouse Row.
Starting Friday, the famous lights along the Schuylkill River will change to match the colors of the winning team after each World Cup match played in Philadelphia.
Tonight's matchup could see Boathouse Row glowing in Brazil's green, yellow, blue, and white, or Haiti's dark blue and maroon.
The tradition will continue throughout the tournament for every remaining World Cup game hosted here.
The special illumination is being coordinated by the Fairmount Park Conservancy, which manages the Boathouse Row lights, in partnership with the Philadelphia Funder Collaborative for the Semiquincentennial.
