Did you see it? A meteor, streaking across our sky. It was just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
NASA says it was first seen about 48 miles above the Atlantic, off the south shore of Long Island. It raced southwest, in our direction, at 30,000 miles an hour.
The meteor traveled 117 miles through the upper atmosphere before NASA says it disintegrated 27 miles above Galloway, Atlantic County.
