Health officials warn of possible measles exposure at PHL

There has been a possible measles exposure at Philadelphia International Airport. The Philadelphia Health Department says that on July 4, between 7:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., a person diagnosed with measles passed through terminals A, B and C. Health officials are urging those who may have been exposed to check their vaccination status and watch for symptoms. If you're protected from the virus, officials say you're in the clear. But those who aren’t protected can contract measles up to 2 hours after someone else with measles left the same room or airspace. Early symptoms include fever, runny nose, cough, and red, watery eyes, followed by a rash, which can lead to pneumonia, brain infection, and death. (photo credit: Marina Demidiuk/Getty Images)
