Frustration for people in Fairmount over changing parking rules.
The Parking Authority says normal permits for Zones 6 and 17 are valid in those areas. But for months, the PPA warned people there to apply for temporary permits during the FIFA Fan Fest. If they didn't have the special permit, their car would be ticketed and towed.
Now, the PPA says no separate FIFA permit is needed -- as long as you're already allowed to park on blocks marked Zone 6 or 17.
At last check, both the new and old rules appear on the authority's website.
Among the comments on the PPA's Facebook page: "Why did we have to go through all the hassle?" and, "PPA owes this neighborhood for emotional damages at this point."
