Penn is getting a big gift from the son of Colombia's richest man.
Gabriel Gilinski and his wife, Stephanie, are donating $22.5 million to Penn's College of Arts and Sciences.
Gilinski is a 2008 graduate of the college. Part of the money will go toward a scholarship for undergrads.
Gilinski said access to education "creates lasting change for families" and can shape "not just one life but an entire community." He said that's especially true in Latin America, where he's chairman of the food processing multinational Grupo Nutresa.
