Delaware Sen. Chris Coons is recovering after being hurt in a multi-vehicle crash.
It happened yesterday morning (Sunday) in Lewes, Sussex County.
According to a statement issued by the senator's office, a driver who had a "medical incident" collided with several cars.
The senator was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries -- and released.
Sen. Coons thanked the first responders for their "prompt and professional response" and says he's relieved no one was seriously injured.
The accident is under investigation.
