Down the Shore, a swimmer died in the hospital after being rescued from the ocean off the coast of Sea Isle City.
Beach Patrol responded to reports of a man who was drowning around 4 p.m. Friday near 59th Street.
First responders were able to bring him to safety alive, but he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim or said what led to him drowning.
