Family-friendly events this Halloween weekend

Halloween weekend is here and there is so much to do! Throw on those costumes and take the family out for tons of fun around San Diego. Here are the best free, family-friendly Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos celebrations this weekend:

Friday:
Trick-or- Treat on India Street in Little Italy. Many local businesses will be giving out candy to the kids. The fun goes from 5:30p- 7:30p.

Saturday:
Once Upon a Hallowe'en at Old Poway Park- Enjoy carnival games, a Haunted House, and rides on the Poway Midland Railroad. 4:30p-8:30p.

Sunday:
TREATport Village- Seaport Village is all decked out for Halloween. They'll be giving out tote bags for the kids to collect candy throughout Seaport Village. A Halloween-themed dessert bar will be on-site, as well as a Mr. Moto pizza pop up. Dress in your best costume because there will be a costume contest and a ton of photo opportunities, too. This event starts at noon and ends at 5pm.

Corvette Diner's Halloween Costume Party- Trick-or-treating will take place from 11:30a- 8pm. Stop by for a costume contest, and try their festive Witch's Brew Milkshake!

The day after Halloween is Dia De Los Muertos and there are a few celebrations taking place this weekend to celebrate the holiday:

Chula Vista's Dia De Los Muertos celebration is happening on Saturday from 3p-8p in downtown Chula Vista.

Old Town's Dia De Los Muertos free celebration will take place on October 29 & 30 from 11am- 8p, and November 2 from dusk- 8p. Tour the altars that many businesses will have on display throughout Old Town, enjoy live entertainment, food, and more!
