Avonte Hartsfield was on the verge of opening up his own vegan restaurant last year, but he had to pivot once the pandemic hit. So, he started his own vegan food truck called "Rollin Roots."
That's not all he does though. Every single day Avonte makes and donates 20-50 meals a day to those in need. He even has a "pay what you can" option at his food truck.
Rollin Roots food truck is open every day from noon to 7pm at 8040 Armour Street in Kearny Mesa.
