The Padres announced on Monday morning that they've signed LHP Kyle Hart to a one-year contract with a club option for 2027. Hart appeared in 20 games for the Padres in 2025, including 6 starts. Hart had a 5.86 ERA in 2025, but pitched well out of the bullpen, appearing in a relief role in his final fourteen outings of the season. Hart allowed zero runs in nine of his final fourteen appearances. Hart should have an opportunity to compete for a starting rotation spot in 2026.
