Foodie Friday: Chef Daren Porretto from Saint John in the Quarter

Our Foodie Friday guest today was Chef de Cuisine, Daren Porretto of Saint John, owned by Exec Chef Eric Cross (of Gris Gris) in the old Maximo's location at 1117 Decatur St.

These guys are doing what they're calling Haute Creole cuisine. Both are New Orleans born and bred. They created a beautiful menu inspired by the volumes of old creole cookbooks they both poured through from their own family libraries. Enjoy and book your reservations soon - I already did! :)
