If you've ever been to the Hawaiian island of Maui, you know how special a place it is. My mother is native Hawaiian born on Maui so it's a place my family and I were lucky enough to spend numerous summers as I was growing up. The wildfire that burned Lahaina town to the ground is an immense tragedy on many levels and, as we know here locally, disasters require resources and lots of recovery time. I'm so grateful to folks who have been asking how they can help. Mahalo nui for your kokua, or, thank you very much for your help. I appreciate these agencies for doing the best they can for those affected;
Along with neighbors and business owners who were able to feed folks, World Central Kitchen was out there quickly feeding folks in need.
