Raja is a 7-year-old, gray, Domestic Shorthair cat, who has been adopted and returned twice already and who's spirits are very low because all she wants is a warm lap to curl up in but people keep turning their backs on her. Raja came to us declawed, after her owner passed away and was quickly adopted only to be brought back a few days later because the adopters didn't understand that a cat who has been declawed uses their mouth more, since they have no claws to defend themselves.
Raja must take Hyperthyroid medicine every day, so the next person to adopt Raja found it to be too much work to provide her the medicine she needs daily. We are looking for a really special person to adopt Raja!
We're looking for someone who has experience with being around declawed cats or someone who is willing to learn more about the potential quirks that come along with a declawed fluff ball. Raja is so beyond deserving of finding her furever home and living out her golden years in a quiet home, surrounded by love. We promise, she has so much love to give!
To meet Raja, or any of the other wonderful pets at the LA/SPCA, make an appointment at www.louisianaspca.org/adopt, then come to 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. (Algiers), 12-7, Mon.-Sat., visit www.louisianaspca.org or call 368-5191.
