Following the news that Red Lobster had filed for bankruptcy back in May, leaving longtime fans of endless shrimp wondering what would become of the beloved seafood chain, the Public Enemy hype man and reality star put his money literally where his mouth is during a recent visit with his family.
“Ordered the whole menu," Flav said on his social accounts sharing a photo of himself at a table loaded with the restaurant's menu items. Over the pic, Flav commented, “Ya boy meant it when I said I was gonna do anything and everything to help @redlobster and save the cheddar bay biscuits.”
In a statement shared on the day of its bankruptcy filing, Red Lobster said it would "drive operational improvements, simplify the business through a reduction in locations, and pursue a sale of substantially all of its assets as a going concern."
Prior to this latest show of support, Flav flashed his timepiece last month in solidarity with the US Women’s Water Polo Team -- an unlikely pairing if there ever was one. But as it turns out Flav is a fan, and utilized his public prowess to help spread the word and get them to the Paris Summer Olympics.
