
Entergy says it will take another three-and-a-half weeks to get power restored to the areas hit the hardest by Hurricane Ida.
The utility announced Friday that most of metro New Orleans will be back on the grid by Wednesday, September 8, with a date of September 10 for Belle Chasse.
For areas that caught more of Ida's wrath, though, it could be much longer.
Entergy is estimating September 17 for restoration St. John the Baptist and St. James Parish. For lower Jefferson Parish, Plaquemines parish outside the Belle Chasse area, Terrebonne, Lafourche, and St. Charles parishes, Entergy estimates power restoration as late as September 29, one month after Ida crossed over southeastern Louisiana.
