Cardi B has been tapped to host the 2021 American Music Awards

Five-time American Music Award winner Cardi B has been announced as this year’s superstar host for the 2021 ceremony.

This obviously gives fans a lot more to be excited for on top of the massive nominees list which you can check out below, as well as the news that you can vote on all of the categories this year, including a few additions.

Cardi is no stranger to the AMAs stage, performing an incredible version of “I Like It” at the 2018 ceremony with J Balvin and Bad Bunny -- and of course, who could forget her 2020 AMAs appearance when she took home the trophy for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Song for "WAP," and received nods for Collaboration of the Year, and Favorite Female Hip Hop Artist. BOSS.

In a statement released by the producers on Tuesday, executive producer Jesse Collins said, “We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host."
