In case you had any doubts about the bright pink and yellow truck driving around LA, Cher has personally confirmed that her line of gelato is legit. “Yep, This Is Real…. I’m Launching My Gelato,” she wrote in an Instagram post, before adding, “Watch Out LA‼️ All Started 5 Years Ago And Now It’s Finally HAPPENING!” Cherlato is a gelato truck and ice cream line, with particular focus on locally grown ingredients, sustainability, and being gluten and vegan friendly. Of course, having Cher as its co-creator and ambassador is its own attraction as well.

While some may not associate the 77-year-old music legend with desserts, Cher is quite the gelato fanatic. Cher wrote that she has “eaten a variety of ice creams from every single city, every single time she’s set foot abroad.” In time, this led Cher to Giapo, the New Zealand-based ice cream company, and the two were ecstatic about a collaboration. Five years later, Cherlato touts that it is, “created by Giapo, curated by Cher” and available in LA exclusively.

In an Instagram post, Cherlato explains that the collaboration required “countless hours in the kitchen, refining flavor combinations, [and] pushing boundaries.” “Cher's global perspective and Giapo's artisanal techniques fused to create a menu that marries international inspiration with local charm,” the company claims.

And from what we can see of the menu, that claim holds up. The truck serves rather experimental concoctions, including new takes on classic flavors like “Chocolate XO Cher” or the “Breakfast At Cher’s Coffee & Donuts” gelato. But adventurous foodies and sweet tooths may be won over by Cherlato’s brand new flavors. “SoCal's Coldest Avocado on Toast" is a creamy avocado gelato with a bread crumb topping, while “Snap Out of It! Kefir and Cardamom” is a mix of tangy, floral and peppery coldness. Oh, and you can’t forget their Gold ice cream cone!

For now, the Cherlato truck is only touring around LA and stopping at new locations every day. You can track the truck via their Instagram and website, though “you won’t find out until you go.”
