Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney have revealed plans to release their fourth studio album, Good Things, on August 13, and according to them, they’ve “never been more excited.”

“We poured every bit of our hearts into this project and have never been more excited for anything in our entire lives,” the duo wrote on Insatgram. “Can’t wait for it to be yours so soon.”

Smyers and Mooney kept the good news coming for fans as they released the title track and accompanying music video.

In celebration, Dan + Shay performed in front of a live audience for the first time in over a year at TODAY show's CITI Concert Series this morning. The duo sang the freshly released, “Good Things,” along with “Glad You Exist,” and “10,000 Hours,” which are both featured on the upcoming album.

“We worked super hard on this project,” Dan shared during the appearance. “We had over a year to work on this album… We’re so proud of this thing… We feel our fans deserve the best, so we pushed ourselves to keep raising the bar.”

Shay added, “We genuinely love what we do. We get to play for amazing fans and we like each other, a lot,” he said, laughing. “We’re best friends in real life. We don’t have to fake any of this.”

Fans who pre-order or pre-save the album now, will receive four or the 12 album tracks ahead of the release date.

“We love to create music together and … we owe our fans and radio, everyone to create the best music we possibly can, and on this next record we truly feel like we reached a next level of what we’re doing.”
