Is there a rift in the Celtics locker room? It depends on whom you ask.
On The Mismatch podcast on Tuesday, The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor said he has heard that veteran big man Tristan Thompson "is not loved" in Boston's locker room "for numerous different reasons."
Shortly after that quote started to make the rounds, a pair of Thompson's teammates came to his defense and denied that there is any such rift.
Jaylen Brown simply tweeted a cap emoji, which is commonly used to call something a lie. Kemba Walker added, "we love TT."
Thompson, who hasn't played since March 14 due to health and safety protocols, has popped up in several trade rumors, but the Boston Globe's Adam Himmelsbach recently reported that league sources have indicated to him that the Celtics "remain quite high on the veteran center."
