6 rings: There may need to be changes for the Pats, but don't expect them mid-season

In atypical fashion, the Patriots were in the building on Tuesday following their 34-0 loss to the Saints this past weekend.

Normally, the team is off on Tuesday’s, but in a scenario where Bill Belichick’s team is ‘starting over’, it seems like the head coach is looking to switch things up - starting first with his clubs weekly schedule.

Here’s what stood out at the walkthrough outside of Gillette Stadium:

Attendance:

Absent: LB Matthew Judon, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR Demario Douglas, OL Mike Onwenu
PUP: S Cody Davis, DE Trey Flowers
IR: WR Tyquan Thornton, CB Jack Jones, CB Marcus Jones, DL Daniel Ekuale, CB Christian Gonzalez

Other Notes:

- Wide receiver Tyquan Thornton was present at Patriots practice on Tuesday, opening his 21-day window to return from the injured reserve.

- WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR Demario Douglas, and OL Mike Onwenu were absent from practice after all three left Sunday’s game due to injury.

- Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien told media on Tuesday prior to practice that he anticipates Mac Jones being the team's starting quarterback on Sunday vs. the Raiders.
