The Patriots have been scouting the top quarterbacks in the draft and have had representatives at Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson’s pro days.

It will continue Tuesday, as they will be heavily represented at Ohio State to see Justin Fields.

According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Patriots will be sending Eliot Wolf and an area scout. Wolf was at Wilson's pro day last week.

Wolf figures to have an increased front office role following the departure of Nick Caserio this offseason.

It does seem noteworthy that just last week Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network said the Patriots are “really high” on Fields.

With all that being said, the Patriots, who currently have the No. 15 overall pick, will in all likelihood need to trade inside the top 10, even potentially top five, to have any shot at Fields.

In eight games last season, Fields completed 70% of his passes for 2,100 yards to go along with 22 touchdowns and six interceptions.
