Dreaming of a platinum blonde Christmas? Throw on your lashes and slap on that lipstick because Kingston Resorts is ringing in the holiday season with Happy Dolly-days celebrations from Nov. 25-Jan. 19, inspired by none other than the Backwoods Barbie herself, Dolly Parton. Sleigh what?! That’s right – Dolly’s biggest fans can hit the “holiday road” for their Christmas vacation to Myrtle Beach, where over-the-top Dolly-themed suites, live performances by the award-winning “Karen as Dolly” tribute artist, Queen of Country-inspired food and beverage menus and a workshop full of other festivities will rock the rooftops. Keeping in tune with the giving spirit, a portion of the Happy Dolly-days proceeds will be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the book gifting program that’s been mailing millions of stories to young children across the globe since 1995.

The curtain of many colors lifts Friday, Nov. 25, as Karen as Dolly, the reigning winner of E! Network’s Clash of The Cover Bands, invites country fans from near and far to kick-off the Happy Dolly-days at Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort. The crowd will dance “two doors down” to the newly opened Black Drum Brewing restaurant where they will jingle bell rock to Karen as Dolly and her band’s set of Dolly Parton holiday classics and greatest hits so fun and fabulous even Jolene would be jealous. All the while, guests will dig into limited-time Dolly-fied menus that draw inspiration from the Steel Magnolia’s favorite dishes and drinks, including Carolina gold BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, collard greens, roasted potatoes, southern cornbread and Dolly’s famous walnut pie. Tickets cost $78 for adults and $42 for children, and can be purchased here.

It may cost a lot to look this cheap, but the Happy Dolly-days suite, inspired by America's suite-heart and her love for the spirit of Christmas and the holiday season, will provide friends and families a glam holiday retreat at “bargain store” prices. Decked in rhinestones, pink Christmas trees and wreaths, festive lights and Dolly artwork, each suite features take home goodies including a Dolly Parton themed tote, Dolly's famous sugar cookie recipe, chocolate covered cherries, drink tickets for Dolly Parton cocktails and mocktails, and more. Suites are available to book at this link from Nov. 25, 2022, until Dolly’s birthday on Jan. 19, 2023, with rates starting at $249 per night.

To make taking a break from your “9 to 5” that much more festive and fun, Kingston Resorts is serving up weekly Dolly-inspired cocktail specials and Dolly’s Table Sunday Suppers at Black Drum Brewing every weekend with rotating menus and live entertainment by local bluegrass and country bands. Kids will be able to pour their own Christmas “cups of ambition” by writing letters to Santa over Dolly Duncan Hines cookie decorating classes, sipping hot chocolate while making s’mores over the fire, and watching Dolly Christmas movie classics like Unlikely Angel, A Country Christmas Story and Christmas of Many Colors, out by the new grand pool.

Even Spa33 is getting in the Happy Dolly-days spirit with new seasonal treatment specials including the Island in the Stream 60-minute signature massage, a Why Did You Come in Here Looking Like That 60-minute signature facial, and a Jolene Please Don’t Take My Man-icure. Repeat clients receive the Here You Come Again special, receiving 20% off any one service.

“With the final phase of our property-wide renovation officially complete, we knew we had to blow this holiday season out of the water,” said Bob Barenberg, managing director of Kingston Resorts. “Not only is Dolly Parton a country music legend, she’s a philanthropist, inspires love and happiness in everything she does, and brings the season’s cheer like no one else. There’s going to be a lot of Dolly magic going on at Kingston Resorts these next couple months, which we hope will be the start of a new holiday tradition for our guests.”
