Rocker Ozzy Osbourne is set to take the stage in the U.S. for the first time in almost four years for an opening day NFL performance during halftime of the Los Angeles Rams' first game of the season against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, September 8.
Listen to your favorite music now -- curated for fans, by fans -- on Audacy’s Ozzy Osbourne Radio, Black Sabbath Radio, and more!
This will be the first time Ozzy has performed in the states since he joined Post Malone and Travis Scott at the American Music Awards in 2019, and he’s planning a multi-song medley to welcome last year's Super Bowl winners, and fans back to SoFi Stadium for another season. Those watching at home can catch the entire game and a portion of the performance via both NBC and Peacock.
This good news arrives just before the official drop of Ozzy's latest album, his collaboration-stacked Patient Number 9, which is set to hit shelves just a day after his performance in Los Angeles. As an added bonus, Osbourne has also offered fans another single from the forthcoming record, "Nothing Feels Right," featuring his longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde.
Ozzy's most recent on-stage appearance happened back at the beginning of August -- during the U.K.'s Commonwealth Games -- when fellow Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi joined him to play a couple of Sabbath classics. Iommi is also featured on Ozzy's upcoming thirteenth studio release, on the track "Degradation Rules." Other contributors to the album include Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and more.
