Bust out those ruby red slippers because you’re off to see the Wizard again.

New Line is working on a remake of the 1939 iconic movie “The Wizard of Oz,” according to Variety.

The latest film adaptation will be a new take on the L. Frank Baum classic children's book “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and will be helmed by “Watchmen” director Nicole Kassel, the outlet noted.

“I am incredibly honored to join Temple Hill and New Line in bringing this beloved classic to the screen,” Kassell said.

“While the 1939 musical is part of my DNA, I am exhilarated and humbled by the responsibility of re-imagining such a legendary tale. The opportunity to examine the original themes — the quest for courage, love, wisdom and home — feels more timely and urgent than ever. “

She added: “These are profoundly iconic shoes to fill, and I am eager to dance alongside these heroes of my childhood as we pave a newly minted yellow brick road!”

While neither plot details nor casting have been revealed, unlike other adaptations, the new update is expected to “draw on other elements” from the Judy Garland classic like the beloved ruby red slippers.

Other big screen versions have included the 1978 film “The Wiz,” starring Diana Ross as Dorothy and Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow, and Disney’s 2013 “Oz the Great and Powerful,”which took place prior to the events of the 1939 film.

In addition to the HBO hit “Watchmen,” Kassel has directed episodes of “Westworld,” “Claws,” “The Leftovers” and “Better Call Saul.”

She made her film directorial debut with the 2004 film “The Woodsman,” co-starring Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.
