Governor Steve Sisolak ordered that all of Nevada’s K-12 schools will be closed effective today.
Schools will be shut down through at least April 6th.
The Clark County closure will last through April 13th, as it includes the previously scheduled Spring Break period of April 6-12.
After the 6th, individual districts throughout the state will be examined on a case by case basis to determine whether re-opening the schools can begin.
Clark County School Superintendent Jesus Jara says it is not yet known how make-up days for the missed time will be handled.
