Governor Steve Sisolak announced his plans for the Phase 2 reopening of the state.
He made the announcement via press release and cancelled his previously scheduled press conference when he was made aware that he had come in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Phase 2 starts this Friday with gyms, aesthetic services, body art, aquatic facilities, movie theaters, malls, place of worship, and more all allowed to open with social distancing measures.
Gaming is scheduled to reopen on June 4th.

Hockey is coming back…Commissioner Gary Bettman made the announcement on the league’s Return to Play plan for the 2019-2020 season.
They will move forward with a 24-team playoff format that will see 12 teams from each conference compete in a modified postseason tournament.
The 2019-2020 regular season is officially complete as of March 11th.
The Golden Knights will participate in round-robin play against the rest of the top-four teams in the Western Conference to determine seeding in the First Round (St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars.)
Games will not begin before July 1st and Las Vegas is being considered as one of the host cities for the round-robin tournament.
The team will also reveal the name and the logo of their new AHL team Thursday at 7pm during a special livestream.

The author made a big announcement…she has a brand new book that is coming out soon!
It’s called “The Ickabog,” and it is not a Harry Potter spinoff.
She said she wrote most of the first draft in between Potter books but when she finished the series she wanted to take a break from publishing.
She says The Ickabog was written as a read-aloud book and that she will be posting a chapter or two (or three) every weekday through July 10th on the Ickabog website.
The first two chapters are on there now.
