·      Last night was the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards live from New York’s UBS Arena.
·      LL Cool J hosted the show solo for the first time.
·      Ariana Grande had a big night, walking away with the top honor, Video of the Year, for “Brighter Days Ahead.”
·      Lady Gaga snagged Artist of the Year. No surprise there, considering she’s been everywhere lately.
·      Song of the Year went to Rosé and Bruno Mars for their collab “APT.”
·      And the newcomer spotlight shined on Alex Warren, who was named Best New Artist after breaking through with his track “Ordinary.”
·      Mariah Carey accepted the Video Vanguard Award, Ricky Martin was celebrated as the first-ever Latin Icon, and Busta Rhymes picked up the Rock the Bells Visionary Award.
·      Performances kept the crowd entertained: Lady Gaga dropped a dramatic pre-taped set from Madison Square Garden, Sabrina Carpenter debuted “Tears” alongside drag performers and protest signs, Mariah delivered a medley of her biggest hits, Doja Cat opened with “Jealous Type” featuring a surprise assist from Kenny G, and Ricky Martin reminded the crowd why he’s still an icon.
