o Tonight is the first night of Permission To Dance On Stage: Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium and the city has gone BTS crazy!
o Las Vegas welcomed the pop sensations last night as signage of the group was displayed at properties along the Las Vegas Strip and they illuminated purple, the group’s color representation of love between BTS and the group’s fan club ARMY members.
o The Fountains of Bellagio will also welcome the group and fans with a BTS-themed fountain show.
o Doors for the concert open at 4:30pm and the concert will start at 7:30pm.

o The mayor of Oakland has incited a Twitter riot, calling Las Vegas a “gross desert” as she talked about the prospects of building a stadium in Oakland to keep the Athletics from packing up and heading to Southern Nevada.
o In a tv interview, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf said, “It’s going to be more complicated and you’ve got to be much more environmentally focused when you are developing on the precious California coastline than in the gross desert of Las Vegas. So, yes, it’s more complicated, and it’s totally worth it.”
o Las Vegas May Carolyn Goodman responded saying, “Mayor @LibbySchaaf has this right-sustainability is a priority. The beautiful @cityoflasvegas is a world leader in sustainability & top destination. @LibbySchaaf please join the more than 42 million visitors a year and enjoy a trip to Las Vegas. We can go to a @Raiders game.”
o She later responded saying, “Hi @mayoroflasvegas! I respect every mayor sticking up for her town. But I just can’t apologize for preferring our gorgeous California coastline over a sweltering desert. #RootedInOakland”

o A swimsuit from the bargain fashion brand is raising some eyebrows on social media over its interesting design.
o It’s called the Shein “SXY Rhinestone Studded One-Piece Swimsuit” and it retails for $12 on the website.
o The almost X-rated suit has a thin strip of nylon material that covers the groin area and essentially looks like you’re giving yourself a front wedgie.
o Some of the comments people have been making on social media include, “Does she have it on backwards? Do real women actually wear this?” and “Y’all….I’m so tempted to order this just to laugh at myself in it.”
