What’s Trending: Monday, April 4th, 2022

#Grammys

o   Last night was Music’s Biggest Night and it did not disappoint!

o   Album of the Year went to John Batiste for “We Are.”

o   They opened the show with Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak performing “777” which really set the tone for the show being in Vegas for the first time.

o   The duo ended up winning a Grammy for Record of the Year, Song of the Year for “Leave The Door Open.”

o   They also won Grammys for Best R&B performance and best R&B song.

#Olivia Rodrigo

o   She won Best New Artist last night.

o   She was the favorite to win the category and she was truly overwhelmed and excited to take home the award.

o   She also won the award for Best Pop Solo performance, Best Pop Vocal Album.

o   She performed her hit song “Drivers License” for the crowd but the moment that truly had the internet talking was when BTS member V playfully cozied up to her at the beginning of their performance of “Butter.”

o   And speaking of the biggest group in the world, they did NOT disappoint with their huge performance last night!

o   They performed “Butter” in an Ocean’s Eleven style performance which played into the whole Vegas theme.

o   Members J-Hope and Jungkook who were previously sick with Covid were completely recovered part of the performance.

o   The group accommodated the performance for member Jin for his hand injury and surgery and still managed to have what many are saying was the performance of the night.

o   They were nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance but they lost to SZA and Doja Cat.

o   Now they are about to take over Vegas for four sold out shows at Allegiant Stadium this weekend and the following weekend.
