·“The Voice” is giving celebrities the chance to prove whether they have hidden singing talent.
·NBC has started production on “The Voice: Celebrity,” a special edition of the competition series arriving in spring 2027.
·Instead of unknown singers chasing their big break, actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians and reality stars will compete to become the show’s first celebrity champion.
·Joe Jonas will make his coaching debut alongside Queen Latifah and country singer Riley Green.
·Jonas previously served as a coach on “The Voice Australia” and appeared as a mentor and advisor on the American version.
·Keke Palmer will host the celebrity edition, taking over for Carson Daly.
·Daly is staying with the franchise and will serve as a producer on the special season.
·The show will keep the Blind Auditions but add several behind-the-scenes elements. “Voice Boot Camp” will follow the stars as they prepare to audition, while a VIP Room will let contestants watch their fellow celebrities perform in real time.
·Later in the competition, viewers will enter the Workroom, where the stars will plan their performances, rehearse and prepare for the Battles.
·NBC has not announced the celebrity contestants yet.
