o   The 2020 games wrapped up in Tokyo yesterday as the final medal were awarded in the closing ceremony.

o   This weekend the USA won more gold medals and ended up winning more medals than any other countries in the Games.

o   626 athletes competed for the USA and they clinched 39 gold, 41 silver and 33 bronze medals for a grand total of 113 medals in 28 different sports.

o   USA Women’s Volleyball took the gold this weekend along with USA Women’s Basketball, including Las Vegas Aces A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray.

o   The “Modern Family” star is a real life hero after helping rescue a woman who fainted while hiking at Arches National Park in Utah.

o   Minnie John, a resident of New Jersey, was traversing a trail in the park with her husband and son when she began to get lightheaded.

o   After telling her family members to go on without her, she sat down to catch her breath and get some rest.

o   She ended up fainting and hit her head on a rock.

o   When she came to, she realized she was being helped by a woman with a “familiar voice” and that’s when she realized who it was.

o   The band will be coming to Vegas for their own residency.

o   Gene Simmons confirmed the news with me on Friday at the Animazing Gallery at The Grand canal Shoppes to preview his collection of paintings and sketches.

o   He said that they will begin the residency starting December 27th and it will spill into February at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood.

o   This residency will be the first since their nine-date run at The Joint at the Hard Rock in 2014.

o   Gene Simmons is also a new Las Vegas resident.

o   National Mustard Day was on Saturday and the makers of French’s Mustard just unveiled a hot dog game-changer.

o   They are now making mustard-flavored hot dog buns.

o   Unfortunately, it’ll be hard to get your hands on them, and they won’t be in grocery stores unless they’re a huge hit.

o   They did post a recipe if you want to try to make them yourself.

o   Hot dog stands had them around New York, Chicago, and Santa Monica over the weekend.

o   They’ll also be available at Yankee Stadium, Camden Yards, and outside Fenway Park next weekend.
