o   We are approaching awards season and yesterday the Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognized the top films of the past year.

o    Up for Best Motion Picture—Drama are Belfast, CODA, Dune, King Richard, and The Power of the Dog.

o    For Best Motion Picture—Comedy, the nominees are Cyrano, Don’t Look Up, Licorice Pizza, Tick, Tick…Boom! And West Side Story.

o    Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy nominees are: The Great, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Reservation Dogs, and Ted Lasso.

o    And for Best Television Series—Drama: Lupin, The Morning Show, Pose, Squid Game, and Succession.

o    The Review-Journal is reporting that the NFL owners will vote on awarding the big game to Las Vegas during ownership meetings this week in Dallas.

o    Word is that The Raiders could announce the game as early as tomorrow.

o    New Orleans was already locked for the 2024 game however, when the NFL increased the regular season from 17 to 18 weeks, it conflicted with Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans.

o   If Las Vegas gets the game, New Orleans will get to host Super Bowl 59 instead.

o    He was named Time Magazine’s “Person Of The Year.”

o    The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX is the richest person on the planet with a net worth of about 265 billion.

o    The title of Heroes of the Year went to the scientists who helped develop the COVID vaccines.

o    Simone Biles was named Athlete of the Year and Olivia Rodrigo was named Entertainer of the Year.
