o Comedian Kathy Griffin is recovering from surgery after revealing that she was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer.
o She shared the news on social media saying, "Yes, I have lung cancer even though I've never smoked!"
o Her doctors are optimistic as the cancer is in the early stages and was contained to her left lung.
o The two-time Emmy award winner had part of that lung removed just yesterday and her rep says that everything went well.

o Study: Billie Eilish has the biggest vocabulary of all modern stars.
o Word Tips “counted the words used by 100 modern stars and the greatest singers of all time and added up the number of unique words they used per 1,000.”
o Eilish has the most unique words per 1,000 with 169.
o She was followed by Harry Styles (159), Lizzo (153), Shakira (151), Lorde (149), and Janelle Monáe (149).
o Eilish also finished high on the all-time list, as she’s 5th. Ahead of her are Patti Smith (217), Joni Mitchell (199), Björk (197), and Jim Morrison (177).
o The site also noted which stars have the smallest vocabularies. That title goes to both Trey Songz and Luther Vandross, who each use 66 unique words per 1,000.
o Other artists towards the bottom of the list include Carly Rae Jepsen (69), Mary J Blige (71), Meghan Trainor (72), Justin Timberlake (76), Mariah Carey (77), Ariana Grande (79).

o At the beginning of next year, California will begin enforcing an animal welfare proposition approved by voters in 2018 that requires more space for breeding pigs, egg-laying chickens, and veal calves.
o Only 4% of hog operations now comply with the new rules.
o Unless the courts intervene or the state temporarily allows non-compliant meat to be sold in the state, California will lose almost all of its pork supply-in other words, it could mean a bacon shortage!

o They just released two new limited-edition flavors for August: Tangy Ranch and Tangy Pickle.
o They both hit shelves yesterday and you can get them on Snacks.com.
o Tangy Pickled debuted last year and became a fan favorite.
o The new Tangy Ranch is a “delicious combination of the classic Doritos crunch paired with the savory tastes of ranch seasoning.
o To celebrate, they are kicking off a social contest next Monday where you can enter on Doritos’ Instagram page to win a limited-edition branded boombox kit.
